We are deeply saddened by the tragic events in the Lötschental valley. Our thoughts and hearts are with the people of the village and the valley.
The losses of all kinds are immense. The urgent needs of the population are just as great, and the material challenges ahead will be colossal.
The board of the Stiftung Blatten foundation has decided to open an account immediately for donations in aid of the village of Blatten and its residents:

The use of donations is coordinated with the Blatten municipal authorities, directly and without any additional administrative costs. The Foundation Board works on a voluntary basis and the funds are managed by a trustee.
The municipality of Blatten receives many offers of donations in kind. However, it is currently unable to manage these donations from an organizational and administrative point of view. We therefore ask you to refrain from making any donations in kind and thank you for your understanding. A very substantial sum has already been collected on the special account opened by the foundation. We are in constant contact with the people affected, including members of our own Foundation Board, and experience how helpful solidarity is felt in times of adversity. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our donors.
